Done it! I've hit my target for this month.
To be honest, I could have done on Friday, when I stopped I was up 14,700 words, but I'd reached the end of a chapter and didn't want to start the next one. Candy's mother was up over the weekend, so I took a couple of days off. I know, no commitment whatsoever!
Well, I'm going to set myself another target of 30,000 words by December 31st. That may be slightly harder, because there's that whole Christmas thing in the middle of it and I'm going Down South for a dew days. Maybe I'll throw it on to Google Docs and work on it there. We'll see how far I get in the next few weeks. After all, that is still four weeks away and if I can keep up the pace of five thousand words a week, I'll make it with no problems.
There - over 10,000 words. I have ten days to get my months target and less than 5000 words to go to hit it. I am fairly certain that I'm going to make it... Yay!
I had a little moment over the last couple of days when I wondered whether or not it was working, but I had a good little writing session today and it seems to be back on track. Well, for the moment anyway. So, I'm happy.
And I've made a loaf of bread. Well, the bread machine is making a loaf of bread for me - who do you think I am

The writing has been going well, you'll be very glad to know. I'm aiming at getting at least 15,000 words by the end of the month and then the same again in December. And, if I can keep that up, I should have it finished by around April or May (let's say May, to give me some leeway). Which will be the fastest I have written a novel. By one hell of a margin.

How long has it been?
Quite a while... Hello again!
Things have happened. I've got a new job - working for North Tyneside Council - no students! No registers! No EMA complaints! More money! Yay! It's all good.
I discovered two days ago that the company through which I was taking my MCSA qualification seems to have disappeared. All their websites are dead and their emails are being bounced back. So, on the one hand, shit, all that work for nothing, I hope I can get at least some money back. However, on the other hand - thank god for that!
And, it seems to have enabled my writing again. I started working on the next novel. I've dropped the Roman story (for the moment) and I'm working on something else - a contemporary, Newcastle-based, supernatural thriller, entitled 'Ghostkin'. I'm quite excited about it and I've written 2000 words in the last two days. So yay!
Please note - yes, I'm writing a novel in November. But I'm not taking part in Nanowrimo. However, good luck to all those who are!
